Yep especially if there is oil added in the pan. Its like when you add water to soap, it foams. Adding Oil to soap does the same thing but more prominately. Oil bubbles naturally from the heat of the stove and with soap left behind it causes the foam.

yes, but fortunately, since it was not enough for you to see when you started cooking, it wont be enough to do you any harm.
I wouldn’t worry about it at all.
(your insides are just a bit cleaner now!!!)

YES YES AND YES. If it’s enough soap it could give you some really nasty stomach trouble.

Yes, it could. But I don’t think that is the cause of the foaming. If it was, you would have tasted it and you didn’t day anything about the taste. More likely, there was excess water on the coating, or loose flour in the coating. Make sure that you knock off all the excess flour before putting in the oil. After you coat the steak, let it dry out and rest before putting in oil.

Yes, if it wasnt rinsed well, It can do this..
    Be real careful..
Even after my pots and pans wash in the dishwasher, I run hot water over them before I use them…
    Hope this helps some..

Was it an iron skillet? If so, you so not use soap to wash it.

Always rinse pots and pans with hot water thoroughly being drying them. Also, reduce the amount of soap you use to clean them.
